Steam: Have a Nice Death enters Early Access

Death is an unavoidable and tragic part of existence. However, those in charge of death are overburdened, with humanity's morbid occurrences overwhelming the underworld's exhausted staff. Death, the great boss, now has another mess to clear up.

In this new 2D roguelike, Death must take it upon itself to restore order after his employees have run amok in the underworld. Have a Nice Death is now available in Early Access on Steam, and it's time to purge some souls.

To restore order, the Grim Reaper must travel through the gloomy and randomly created corridors of Death Inc., cutting and slicing his way through foes. These opponents, dubbed Sorrows, are department heads who have gone rogue and broken protocol. Meanwhile, iconic characters from the office, such as Pump Quinn, the pumpkin-headed assistant, will greet you at every turn, providing the latest gossip or assisting you.

Deadly hack and slash

To put things right, players will have access to a large number of weapons, spells, and other unique abilities. And, as with any rogue-lite, you can achieve various levels of power for yourself. There are also "Curse" improvements that can help or hurt you, such as increasing the strength of your subordinates or "increasing the cost of koffee and other items that are critical to your work output."

Have a Nice Death is available for Early Access on Steam today, so you can help Death go through his dirty laundry. While there is no official release date yet, we do know that the game will be available on the upcoming Steam Deck device.
