Don't get us wrong, Stranger: we adore seeing Tonberries erupt in laughter after being petted on the head, or Cactuars erupt in a shower of dazzling lights and loot. When you get to the end of the game and are grinding out Anima Crystals, though, the animations can get a little tedious to watch.

Or maybe you're at a point in the game where a single mistake can cost you a lot of health, and you don't want to be surrounded by enemies. If that's the case, you might be interested in learning how to skip Soul Burst animations in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

Unfortunately, there is no way to completely bypass Soul Burst. Soul Burst not only gives you invincibility frames, but it also gives you a bonus maximum MP when completed. You can, however, make the animation shorter. Go to the Main Menu and then System Settings to do so. Set the Short Soul Burst Animation option to "On" under Basic Settings.

A shorter Soul Burst animation will save you a lot of time throughout the hundreds of runs you'll be doing, but you can't completely disable Soul Burst animations. This option, on the other hand, allows you to freely move your camera when Soul Burst is active, which can help you figure out your next move more precisely rather than viewing a locked mini-movie.
