For a while, Random Encounters are fun. They assist you in leveling up so that you can improve your talents while also rewarding you with loot. Of all, everything becomes old after a while, including Random Encounters. Much as in a Pokémon game, there are times when you just want to escape away from random opponents and leisurely explore the overworld's territories. Enemies can and will arise in the tall grass while traversing the overworld in Wonderlands. You may believe that you can simply avoid tall grass, but this is not always the case. There are numerous goals scattered across the overworld map that force you into the tall grass, increasing your chances of being forced to engage in an encounter you'd rather avoid.

You can escape Random Encounters by just running away if you need to pass through some dense grass. Running away from an enemy that has appeared on the map and is now pursuing you is a good approach to avoid them. Running away can be effective, but it isn't always an option. You may find yourself backed into a corner with nowhere to go. It's time to bring out the melee attacks when this happens. To smack an adversary in the overworld map and earn an award, press the melee button on your controller or keyboard.
