Titans signing OL Jamarco Jones to a two-year deal, retain Ben Jones

Jamarco Jones, a former Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman, is expected to join the Tennessee Titans. Tennessee has signed the offensive lineman, who can play both guard and tackle, to a two-year, $5.75 million deal, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jones, a Seattle Seahawks fifth-round pick in 2018, has played in 36 games over the last three seasons, starting seven of them. He started two of the ten games he appeared in 2021. Jones allowed zero sacks and six pressures in 100 pass-block snaps last season, earning a pass protection rating of 54.6, according to PFF. He was also good at run-blocking, finishing with a 54.6 grade.

It's unclear what the Titans want to do with Jones, but given his contract value, he'll most likely serve as a flexible backup who can also contend for a starting spot in training camp. Tennessee re-signed veteran centre, Ben Jones, on Monday, and Jones is just one of the team's first-day moves.

Since signing as a free agent in 2016, Ben Jones has remained with the Titans. Last season, he started all 17 games for Tennessee and has only missed one since 2014. By releasing veteran left guard Rodger Saffold last week, the Titans created a hole on their offensive line.
