Elden Ring: How to get the Rotten Staff

You've encountered this numerous times. If you aren't prepared, the Erdtree Avatar boss can be quite difficult to deal with. These foes do become easier after a time, but their weapon still hits quite hard. Gather their weapon and use it against them if you want vengeance. In Elden Ring, this is how you get the Rotten Staff.

The Staff of the Avatar's scarlet rot form is known as the Rotten Staff. It does, however, take a little longer to obtain than its normal equivalent. To obtain this weapon, you must first travel to Haligtree. This is accomplished by finishing the puzzle and lighting the four statues in Ordina, Liturgical Town. Once you've completed this, you'll be able to access a portal that will transport you to the Haligtree.

Make your way through the Haligtree to the Site of Grace's Prayer Room. A Cleanrot Knight stands outside the room containing the Site of Grace, and Millicent will be close by. Outside the Prayer Room, continue down the stairwell.

Jump onto the platform attached to the second spire that runs along the route and use the ledge to reach the bottom wall. This wall is walked along by an Erdtree Avatar. To obtain the Rotten Staff, defeat the Erdtree Avatar here.
