Elden Ring: How to play the Samurai
The Samurai is a versatile class that excels at melee and distance combat while also being capable of using magic. The Samurai begins at level 9, which is slightly higher than other classes and has above-average Vigor, Strength, Endurance, Mind, and Dexterity, as well as a high Dexterity. The Uchigatana, the Longbow, some arrows, and the Red Thorn Roundshield are included. The Samurai emphasizes speed and range, thus the shield isn't necessary unless you insist on blocking.
FP will play a role as the Samurai if you opt to remain with the Longbow, despite the fact that it appears to be a non-magic class. Distance between you and your opponent is always beneficial, and the Longbow's Mighty Shot is a strong Art of War. The Mighty Show is a special bow attack that takes a little longer to prepare but does a lot more damage than a standard bow attack. The main difficulty is that it uses Focus Points, so if you want to keep firing Mighty Shot, you'll need to increase your FP or allocate your flasks to make up for lost Focus Points.
You may run out of arrows early on in the game, but they are relatively easy to come by. To begin, travel to the Church of Elleh and speak with the merchant there, which the game will naturally lead you to at the start of the game. Purchase the arrow crafting kit and recipe books, then attack any sheep in the Limgrave area to obtain the bones needed for the recipe. With the number of runes, you'll have later in the game, you can just buy arrows.
The Uchigatana is your first melee weapon, and it's fairly good for a beginner's weapon. It features a powerful penetrating dash heavy attack, and the basic attacks can be executed quickly. The main reason you'd want to get rid of your shield is that the Uchigatana has a powerful Weapon Art ability that requires you to two-hand it. Do you remember that scene in every anime where the swordsman crouches, places their palm on their sword's hilt and then unleashes a massive attack? That's all there is to it. The strike has a quick charge time, a long-range, and deals a lot of bleed damage. Because bleed damage is proportional to the enemy's health, it's ideal for dealing with bosses.
If you wish to go the magical path, the Moonveil Katana is another wonderful weapon for the Samurai. This weapon may be found in the Gael Tunnel, which is located near the Caelin-Limgrave border. A Magma Wyrm will have to be fought, but it shouldn't be too difficult. Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence are used to rank Moonveil. It possesses the weapon skill Transient Moonlight, which launches a horizontal magical slicing strike.
Most of your weapons will scale with Dexterity, so allocate your skill points to Dexterity, Vigor, and Mind. Because you can't always use a bow, especially in boss fights, you'll need the points in Vigor, and additional health is never a bad thing. If you opt to employ a longbow or magical weapons like the Moonveil, the Mind will provide you with some more FP. If you want to conquer with the Samurai class, make good use of your speed and range.
