Elden Ring: Where to find Root Resin and what it does
There are plenty of crafting resources to be found in Elden Ring, some of which are extremely uncommon and others that you may need on a regular basis. Root Resin is one of those crafting ingredients that you'll find yourself using in a variety of recipes, particularly for various forms of grease.
Grease is a consumable item that may be used to add various forms of damage and effects to your weapons. When facing stronger opponents, like as bosses, this can be advantageous, especially if you can construct a type that provides damage that they are vulnerable to. Fire, magic, lightning, magic, rot, blood, and dragon wound are all sorts of grease in Elden Ring. There are also drawstring grease variations, which may be applied faster but have a shorter effect duration.
Root Resin may be found all over the early Lands Between, including Limgrave, the Weeping Peninsula, and the Stormfoot Catacombs. Root Resin is usually found near the base of trees. Although you'll come across it quite frequently as you travel, the accompanying map illustrates a particularly ideal location to farm Root Resin in huge quantities if you ever need it.
Just outside the Warmaster's Shack is this Site of Grace. If you turn left as you face the Shack's entrance, you'll see three Root Resin deposits among the trees, as depicted above. These will all drop at least one Root Resin, but there's a potential you'll get more, especially if your Item Discovery is high. These deposits will respawn if you rest at the Site of Grace.
