Lost Ark: How to find and defeat Signatus
Lost Ark players may come across huge, empty, monster-free arenas when traversing Arkesia's broad fields, each with a grayed-out emblem in the center. First-time visitors to these areas may overlook these diversions in favor of their regional questing and character development, which is understandable. Field Bosses, a set of late-game boss rush events that cycle on a regular schedule and give highly advanced players an additional challenge for greater treasure, are held in these arenas. Many of these Field Bosses can't even absorb damage from the player's attacks until they reach a specific level of equipment. The toughness and lair location of several of these different Field Bosses vary. Signatus, a massive mech Field Boss in Arthetine's Scraplands, provides an excellent introduction to the Field Bossing activity.
Tracking Signatus: Time and place
As the fourth major continent that players will experience, many will arrive in Arthetine early in the main storyline. These players are expected to have a total item level below 380 at this stage in their journey, which is the minimum required to face Signatus. Anyone attacking the mech from below this item level will take no damage, and any attacks received in return will kill them quickly, therefore players are advised to return to Signatus later.
Signatus' spawn is totally contingent on Lost Ark's global world events calendar, therefore when that "later" is can vary substantially. Signatus spawns every two or three days, at the top of every hour from 11 a.m. to 5 a.m., like other Field Bosses. All of these dates and times are recorded in Procyon's Compass's "Field Bosses" section.
Battling Signatus: Keep some space
A massive 63,855,000-point health bar can be seen on Signatus. If it is not vanquished within 15 minutes, it will go crazy, killing any players in its path and resetting its health bar to full. To fight the mech properly, players must work together in big groups and team up against it, all while staying within the time restriction. Signatus is tall and ponderous, and players seeking to stay alive can easily outrun him. Fighters within the melee range can easily wrap around to the mech's backside, safely dealing back assaults from outside its frontal attack range, because of its slow rotating speed.
Signatus' attack patterns include a number of circular attacks and range-denying mechanisms to compensate for its lack of mobility, forcing opponents to play into its cold, mechanical hands. The combat against Signatus emphasizes big health bars and muscle, using rockets to heckle lighter, non-confrontational classes like most gunners or wizards, and an electric force-field that draws players inward.
