Lost Ark: Where to get Jewel Coral

In the midst of the frenzy of store tutorials and new character introductions, new adventurers visiting Prideholme in Lost Ark are finally directed to the city's Luxury Goods Trader. His market, while small, provides three different mountable turtles, each of which appears to cost one of a bizarre new currency called Jewel Coral. While players will continue to come across these Luxury Goods Traders in all major cities throughout Arkesia during their early excursions, they will appear to never be able to obtain any of the Jewel Coral that these merchants are wanting. These players will not have the opportunity to obtain one — and only one — of this incredibly rare coral until much later in the Lost Ark tale and progression system.

Unlocking Jewel Coral: Turtles ahoy

Prince Thirain will offer the player a ship with which to tour the world in pursuit of the seven Arks when they near the end of their original journey in Luterra. While this command is the driving force behind the MMO's primary questline, players are free to sail in any direction the wind takes them, including among the many islands that dot the seas.

Once a player's character reaches level 50, they will be able to visit Turtle Island, which is located halfway between the continents of Anikka and Pleccia. On it, adventurers will find a youngster named Flynn who, after being nurtured by a bale of turtles from birth, is beginning to believe he is one.

Flynn, along with his primary turtle nurse Baham, will assign the player a series of objectives to assist him in further establishing his turtle side, which includes snorkels, flippers, and his own shell. This questline will take players to Anikka, Arthetine, and Vern, and will require the player to make progress by gaining the first few Arks. The player will receive one Jewel Coral after completing the series' last mission, To the Sea.

Purpose of Jewel Coral: Uniquely unilateral

Despite its one-of-a-kind and inherently once-per-character nature, Flynn's Jewel Coral can only be used to purchase turtle mounts. Each of these turtles, which come in a variety of colors ranging from green to yellow to azure, costs one Jewel Coral, which means that each character that completes Flynn's questline will only get one chance to get their favorite reptile palette.

These mounts aren't slowed by their hefty shells in the least, since all three turtles are equally capable of keeping up with the back half of Lost Ark's mounts. The turtles can tie most of the preliminary horse mounts that players are likely to have found early in their Luterra voyage, scurrying ahead at 420 units per second.
