Weird West is an immersive simulation in which you must manage not only your ammo and weapons but also your money. The west is rich in gold, but you'll want to know how to get the most out of your haul. The best equipment isn't inexpensive. First and foremost, completing tasks and collecting bounties will earn you money, so keep track of them. In the Weird West, you should always loot everybody you come across, and you'll often find gold in the pockets of the dead. Pick-me-ups abound across the world, including gold coins. They can be found on top of tables and within containers (more on that later). Make a point of collecting everything you see.

This includes junk items, which can be purchased at any general store. Weapons can also be trashed or sold. The problem is that you only have so much inventory. Getting a horse improves this by allowing you to keep stuff in the saddlebags of your horse, but there is still a limit. You'll be able to keep your wallet full if you loot and sell frequently.

You should also invest in the Scrounger and Haggler perks, which are two of the most important. They go hand in hand: the former implies you'll find more gold inside containers in your search, while the latter means shop prices will be reduced. These actions work together to keep gold flowing in while minimizing the amount that leaves the country. Finally, if you don't mind breaking a few rules, the Quick Stealth and Lockpick talents may be useful. Cash registers are always full of gold, but you'll have to approach them quietly and open them without raising a commotion.
