ASAP Rocky arrested at LAX airport after Barbados trip with Rihanna

According to a report published by TMZ on Wednesday, April 20, Rocky was greeted with an unpleasant surprise at LAX as he returned from a holiday in Barbados with his child's mother, Rihanna. After getting off his private flight, the "Long Live A$AP" rapper was detained and brought into custody. The reason for his arrest is unknown at this time.

When police reportedly apprehended the 33-year-old rapper at the Los Angeles airport, he had just returned from a vacation in Barbados with his pregnant girlfriend Rihanna. The arrest was claimed to be in connection with a shooting in November 2021, according to Rocky's lawyer, Alan Jackson. The rapper, real name Rakim Mayers, was being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, but it was not known to the public, according to reports.

The event is believed to have occurred around 10:20 p.m. on November 6 near Vista Del Mar and Selma Ave. The victim, who survived the gunshot, allegedly informed authorities that Rocky approached him with a revolver in the street, where the musician was joined by two others, according to News.

According to the man, Rocky fired four shots at him, one of which grazed his left hand. The arrest was accomplished with the help of Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations unit, according to LAPD.
