Back 4 Blood: How to get legendary weapons

Legendary weapons are uncommon in Back 4 Blood, but discovering them should be viewed as a gift that your Cleaners should take advantage of. These golden objects have a special quality that makes them superior to other powerful weaponry you may encounter. The Tunnels of Terror expansion featured these golden-colored weapons, and here's how to find and equip legendary weapons in Back 4 Blood.

With the addition of legendary weapons in Back 4 Blood's first expansion, you'll require access to those tunnels to find them. They don't appear in the regular Campaign levels, at least not yet. You can play in the Ridden Hives if you own the expansion or if you play with a friend who does.

You should look for Warped Chests while you're in one of the Hives. These will emerge at random throughout the level and will cause Trauma damage to your team in order to unlock. When you pay the payment, your squad will receive a slew of weapons, attachments, and occasionally cards. There is a tiny chance that a legendary weapon will drop among these goods, but it is not guaranteed.

You have a greater chance if you find an entry to the Inner Lair because several Warped Chests appear in those spots. Because these are the only places where you can discover one of the gold weapons, your team must decide whether it is worth the money.
