Elden Ring: How to Do New Patches Quest & Get Crouch Emote After Update 1.04 Patch
Elden Ring has received a major update today that brings a slew of new features to the game, the most significant of which being the Patches quest. Patches, a well-known character from the Soulsborne game, was one of From Software's shocks in Elden Ring. In fact, he was a source of contention, with many people debating whether he should be killed or spared.
How to Complete New Patches Quests in Elden Ring and Obtain the Crouch Emote Following the 1.04 Patch
Players must follow the instructions to complete the Patches questline. Please keep in mind that this is for the full questline; details on the new questline may be found below.
- Patches can be found by going to Murkwater Cave and opening the chest there. This will start a relatively simple conflict. Patches will surrender when he is down to around half of his health. You have the option of killing him or sparing him; if you pick the latter, Patches will perish.
- You can return to the Murkwater Cave, where you will find a new chest and Patches will be a trader. You can teleport to Mistwood Ruins by using the chest.
- Patches can be found in a variety of locales after this, including Liurnia and others. In these locales, though, you make no major progress in his goal.
- You must next travel to the Volcano Manor, where you will locate him. To start the questline, you must go through Tanith's assassination demands and obtain the Letter for Patches. Return to him after that to obtain the Magma Whip Candlestick.
- Following that, you'll find him in the Shaded Castle, where you'll obtain the Dancer's Castanets. BEFORE THE PATCH, THIS IS WHERE THE QUEST ENDED.
- NEW QUESTLINE– Return to Murkwater Cave after this, and you'll notice that the region has been transformed into a boss arena. To earn the crouch emote, you must fight Patches again and defeat him.
