Elden Ring: How to defeat Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader

Elden Ring's toughest customer is Alecto, the Black Knife Ringleader. In warfare, Tiche's mother is unyielding. Her assaults will sever a fraction of your maximum health and sap your strength, and they will toss her around the arena quicker than you can keep up with. You've probably come here because you've had some issues with her. Don't worry, Tarnished; we've all been there.

Equipment

Alecto is one of the few bosses who are immune to the most usual ways of accumulating damage. You may need to branch out and apply ice to a weapon because she's immune to bleeding, scarlet rot, and poison as a member (well, Ringleader) of the Black Knives. Bring a secondary weapon of your choice as well; the benefit of frostbite on her goes far beyond the enormous chunk of damage it deals. Other sources of damage will be amplified on a frostbitten target. We also recommend bringing fire damage. Normally, status effects become more difficult to apply, however, a small amount of fire damage will reset frostbite resistance.

Strategy

Alecto is extremely aggressive, and her attacks appear to have no gaps. You may use this as an opportunity to counter her aggression with your own, but that strategy would only annoy you. Kite her around the Evergaol and keep a medium to long space between you and her. Her helm splitter assaults should be triggered as a result of this (she will leap into the air and attack with a dive into the ground). By rushing just out of range, finding that sweet spot, and strifing about as she recovers for a free backstab, both her normal and infused helm splitters may be entirely evaded.

Your backstabs will rapidly mount up, and even if you don't exactly line up for the backstab, you'll still rack up a few more frostbite points. Take your time, and don't let her lure you into a close-range brawl; you'll only end up hurting yourself.
