Elden Ring: Where to Get Celebrant’s Skull Hammer
Elden Ring has only been out for two months, but it is a massive game with plenty of bizarre locales and weaponry to find on your journey. While there are clearly more common weapons that appear in many playthroughs, some serve as entertaining alternatives with powerful powers and unique in-game mythology and references. The Celebrant's Skull, a Great Hammer with relatively modest requirements to wield, is one such weapon.
Where to Get Celebrant’s Skull Hammer in Elden Ring
The Celebrant's Skull is located immediately northeast of the Windmill Village site of grace, which is located along the cliff on the outskirts of Dominula, while Windmill Village is located along with the northern limits of the Altus Plateau. You won't have to worry about facing any surprise foes or meeting any traps because the weapon is found on a corpse near three birds perched along the cliff. However, the legend surrounding this weapon reveals that the inhabitants of this village are vicious, as even a joyful tool adorned in joyous flowers and fabrics is a large, deadly bludgeon.
Windmill Village is a direct reference to the Hrga commune from Midsommar, a critically praised folk horror film released recently. It takes obvious graphic and thematic cues from it, but with a distinctive FromSoftware twist. The locals are deceptively placid until you get too close or attack, at which point they all attack violently as a bunch.
The Celebrant's Skull is a weapon that embodies this dichotomy of joy and violence. The weapon also features the Barbaric Roar special attack, which increases your attack power and gives you additional runes if you land strikes with it.
