Final Fantasy XIV: How to get the Boreas Whistle and the Boreas mount

Throughout Final Fantasy XIV, you can find a variety of mounts. Some only appear during specific events, while others are always available if you're willing to put your talents to the test in dungeons and trials. One of them is the Boreas Whistle, which summons the Boreas mount. In Final Fantasy XIV, this tutorial will show you how to obtain the Boreas Whistle for the Boreas mount.

The Boreas Whistle may only be obtained by finishing The Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Extreme) trial. During this combat, you'll be up against Shiva, who has the possibility to drop this whistle if you finish it successfully. Even if it drops, you'll still have to compete for the loot roll with other players.

You must unlock the Hard version of this trial before completing The Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Extreme). You can do so by completing the Main Scenario Quest in The Instruments of Our Deliverance. In this difficult version, you'll be pitted against Shiva after completing this task. After successfully completing it, you'll need to finish the Let Us Cling Together Main Scenario Quest, which will unlock the Drop Dead Shiva side quest from Urianger, which can be found at The Waking Sands at coordinates (X:6.0, Y:4.9).
