Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: Can you go inside the crashed IO Airship?

The IO Airship that once hovered above Fortnite's The Daily Bugle location has crashed into the map's east coast waters following the boss battle. Naturally, players may now visit the landing site and even examine the ruins. However, because a portion of the ship remains, many people are wondering if the interior is still accessible.

Unfortunately, there is no way to enter the wrecked blimp right now, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take a tour of the region. At the top of the crash site, for example, there are two IO boxes, both of which are known to contain high-tier loot. Players can also find objects floating nearby on huge scraps out in the open. We were able to find one Epic and two Rare weapons the first time we visited the location, thus it could be a good drop spot.

This isn't likely to be the only crashed IO Airship players encounter in the near future. Because this crash is linked to conflicts between IO soldiers and the Resistance, another battle is currently taking place near Condo Canyon, so keep a look out.
