MLB The Show 22: Best pitches to use in Road to the Show

MLB The Show 22 is now available on consoles all across the world, so it's time to go back to work on The Show. The Road to the Show is clearly back, and several quality-of-life improvements have been made that should please users. The ability to effortlessly equip pitches to a Ballplayer is one of those changes. Which pitches, on the other hand, should you give your Ballplayer? We've made our selections, so let's take a look at five pitches that we strongly suggest for your Road to the Show pitcher.

Sinker

Sinkers have been an issue in MLB The Show games for a long time, and that shouldn't change in 22. Sinkerballs feature greater downward movement than a four-seam or two-seam fastball. This not only makes these pitches more difficult, but it also gives you a lot of alternatives for combining them. A one-two punch of a sinker followed by a changeup may be lethal.

Cutter

Now we'll look at the cutter, also known as a cut fastball. Cutters are fastballs that travel to the glove side and run one to two MPH slower than a regular four-seamer. Cutters, when used properly, maybe an excellent alternative for attempting to produce a whiff outside of the zone or stymieing a hitter on the hands. Just be cautious when using the cutter. If you leave it in the middle of the zone, it has the potential to go 400 feet.

Changeup

At first glance, changeups resemble a four-seam fastball. When a change gets closer to the zone, though, it tends to be slower than a four-seamer, with a dip off and down low.
