Being a flexible baseball player in Major League Baseball is a key asset that many organizations seek. It's great to have a backup plan in case someone gets hurt or underperforms, so you don't have to worry about that area becoming a weak spot in your lineup. Moving your created player in MLB The Show 22 can sometimes lead to more playing opportunities. In Road to the Show, here's how to modify your My Ballplayer's position.

After you've formed your My Ballplayer and begun the Road to the Show, you'll be stuck with the position you assigned them during the creation process, at least for a while. You'll start having chats with your agent or management after a while. These discussions will include everything from promotions to trade requests.

On the manager's side, if there is an obvious need on the squad that your skills can fill, or if a superstar is preventing you from reaching the majors, they will ask if you want to switch positions. If your talents in left field aren't cutting it, they may ask you to go to first base. You can choose whether or not to accept their offer, but if you decline, there's a chance they'll swap you. Occasionally, the manager will request that you try a new location to see how you do.

When your representative calls, they will inquire about your satisfaction with the company. This is where you can request a trade or a promotion, but you can also express your dissatisfaction with your current job. Keep in mind that you will have no influence on the business early in your career, so it may take a few years of success before they are willing to shift you around.
