MLB The Show 22: How to do a mound visit

Visits to the mound have long been a staple of baseball. However, in order to decrease game lengths, MLB has limited the number of visits a team can use. This is an option open to MLB The Show 22 players, and it's one that they should surely take advantage of. So, how do you go about visiting a mound? Let's have a look at what we've got.

Turn your focus to the D-Pad to make a mound visit in MLB The Show 22. For Xbox, Nintendo, or PlayStation controllers, press up on the D-Pad. After that, a popup menu should display, asking the user what action they want to take. Users can perform a variety of tasks here, including requesting a mound visit.

To get one of the coaches out on the field to chat to the pitcher, select the mound visit option with A (for Xbox and Nintendo) or X (for PlayStation). In MLB The Show 22, mound visits serve a purpose. Mound visits can be utilized to buy time for a reliever to warm up in the bullpen or to get a reliever started warming up. This can also be used to buy time to make a defensive substitute. Keep in mind that a pitcher can only have one mound visit every inning. If you can't utilize one, it's generally a smart idea to replace the current pitcher with a reliever.
