MLB The Show 22: How to guess the pitch
If you know what the pitcher is about to throw, you have a unique edge as a hitter in MLB The Show 22. Giving yourself the assurance that you know what the ball is about to do as it approaches will greatly increase your chances of making hard contact, resulting in greater results. In MLB The Show 22, here's how to guess a pitch. Before you start guessing pitches in MLB The Show 22, make sure the option is turned on. To access the Advanced part of Batting & Baserunning, go to Settings, Gameplay, and then press R2, RT, or ZR. You can utilize one of four different forms of Guess Pitch.
Hold down the right trigger on your controller before the pitcher begins their wind-up when one of the guess pitch options is enabled. The left stick can then be used to select an area of the strike zone where you believe the pitch will land and the pitch type they will use. If you are correct, you will receive a different reward depending on the setting you choose.
Classic – The ball will flash blue after leaving the pitcher's hand if you choose the appropriate pitch but not the zone. If you get both of your guesses correct, you'll be shown the exact spot where it'll pass through the zone.
No Feedback — If you guess both the proper pitch and the right zone, your controller will vibrate, indicating that it will come to that spot but without showing you where it will be.
PCI - A red highlight will indicate the approximate location of the pitch if you predict the pitch and area accurately. To place your swing, you still have control over the PCI.
Quadrant - If you properly predict the pitch and area, the game will move your PCI and show the approximate location of the ball.
