MLB The Show 22: How to use the XP Grinding Glitch
MLB Easy XP for the Diamond Dynasty Face of the Franchise Program on Show 22. If you plan to play a lot of Diamond Dynasty, you should finish it. While you can just play the game normally, many will want to fast earn the 600,000 XP required to add the top players to their squad. So, what's the quickest way? There are a few strategies you can use to finish it quickly. We'll talk about it in Exhibition and Road to the Show.
Exhibition XP grinding method
To use this strategy, go to the Roster Vault (located in the Create option from the main menu) and choose a roster that works well. We had great success with LightSkinChris' roster, found by Googling for LSC XP. This arrangement offers you a 99 OVR Shohei Ohtani, which you can employ against a 0 OVR Astros squad to swiftly gain XP. After that, go to the main settings and pick Presentation. As shown in the screenshot above, we've set the following parameters:
- Presentation Mode – Fast Play
- Pitch Selection Cameras – None
- Pitch Selection Camera Focus – Batter/Pitcher Only
- Pitcher Selection Camera Frequency – Rarely
- All Other Settings – Off
This speeds up gameplay and allows you to finish games faster. You don't need to worry about hitting in your gameplay settings since you won't be. Instead, go to the Pitching tab and select Classic Pitching Interface. To pitch, merely click a button twice, drastically speeding up the procedure. We prefer Beginner difficulty so we can watch TV while playing, however, some users claim that increasing it higher yields more XP. You may also set it to Veteran for a great medium ground.
Now that your settings are perfect, it's time to play. Make sure your roster is stored (you'll need to do this every time you log in or change modes) and join an Exhibition game. If you haven't chosen the Angels yet, do so now. Set Quick Counts to “Yes” and Player Lock to Shohei Ohtani before the game. Hover over his name in the pitcher selection window and press R2 (RT on Xbox).
That's roughly 1,400 XP per game. It varies, but it consistently hovers around that number, allowing you an easy option to grind XP without any effort. There's also a Road to the Show approach worth mentioning for more active XP grinding.
Road to the Show XP grinding method
This strategy involves increasing Archetypes to gain XP. Most Archetype path milestones offer a nice XP benefit that builds over time. You'll need to alter several settings before starting a game. See the image below, then scroll down to read it.
- Game Flow – Skip to Next Appearance
- ShowTime Opportunities – Off
- Player Lock Infield Reaction – Assist
- Player Lock Button Mapping – Classic
- Player Lock Fielding Opportunities – All
- Player Lock Baserunning Interface – Analog
- Player Lock Baserunning Opportunities – Lead Runner
- Player Lock CPU Teammate Hitting – All
- Player Lock Player Yells – Off
These settings allow you to hit while progressing your fielding and baserunning goals. To improve your pitching Archetype, simply change any variables that relate to pitching. Then we'll set the difficulty to Beginner to breeze through the games. To make things even easier, you can search the Vault for an RTTS roster with all but one team set to 0 OVR. That leaves entering into games and collecting stats.
Using this strategy, we recommend returning to the clubhouse after every game. It's actually faster than you think, even if you have to go through more menus. You lose time playing if you just keep on to the next game. Also, Archetypes don't roll over between players, so you won't be able to farm this all year. This means you may wish to use another method to grind XP in later Diamond Dynasty programs.
With these two techniques, you'll breeze over the XP requirements. Unless things change during the year, you'll be able to use these approaches with future XP-based apps, so get used to them early in MLB The Show 22.
