MLB The Show 22: Which Spring Cleanup bosses should you choose?

In Diamond Dynasty, the MLB The Show 22 Spring Cleanup highlighted program has gone live. Five new 90+ OVR bosses are included in the new program, with MLB The Show players able to obtain two of them via Choice Packs. But who should you choose as your program's boss? Zack Britton is the group's must-own player out of the five on this list. Britton, a Baltimore Oriole, has a staggering 120 H/9, and his sinker-slider combination will be incredibly effective. Britton also has the longest shelf life of the group, as that 93 OVR item should be valuable for months to come.

The only starter in the bunch is Tom Seaver, although he isn't a must-have. While Seaver's pitching repertoire is impressive, the 86 H/9 is already eclipsed by All-Star Bob Gibson, FOTF Alek Manoah, and FOTF Casey Mize. The K/9 rating, on the other hand, isn't that bad at this point in the game.

Then there's the trio of power hitters. Outside of Awards Albert Pujols, Justice may be the best left-fielder in the game right now. The splits on this card, on the other hand, are quite interesting. Justice has strong numbers against right-wingers, but even stronger numbers against left-wingers. If you have trouble with the LHP vs. LHH matchup, this could be an issue. Mathews and Banks, on the other hand, are both well regarded in their respective roles. Banks can be a hitting machine if you can get used to his stance, while Mathews should rake against righties.

With that in mind, you should try to acquire players that you can use the most or who have the highest market worth. Britton is likely to get the most playing time, with left-handed slugger Justice and Mathews as secondary targets. Because the pitching meta favors right-handed starters, having left-handed hitters will aid in dealing with certain matchups.
