You're in for a fight whenever you come across a Megalodon in Sea of Thieves. These massive sharks can rip and tear your ship to shreds if you aren't careful, so dealing with them will be a worthy challenge. There are five different types of Megalodon in the game, but one stands out because it is particularly difficult to locate. In Sea of Thieves, here's how to find a Shrouded Ghost Megalodon.

In Sea of Thieves, the Shrouded Ghost Megalodon is an exceptionally rare spawn. It has a peach fin and is light gray in appearance. There are a few Commendations for taking on these animals, with the first one receiving 50 Doubloons and defeating five earning you the title of Pirate Legend. To give you a notion of how rare Megalodons are, they demand 50 kills instead of five.

Getting a Shrouded Ghost to spawn organically in the world is highly unlikely. If you want a Megalodon to attack you, you must first stay away from islands. They only exist in open water, and no part of the map has a higher percentage than the others. Simply said, cruise around the world and hope for the best. Slow down your sailing when you hear a roar and watch a Megalodon come into the sea to discover what kind it is. Start fighting if it's light gray with peach fins.

You can now summon a Shrouded Ghost Megalodon at the end of The Shrouded Deep adventure, thanks to the addition of The Shrouded Deep adventure. Each deed requires you to defeat one of the other Megalodons in order to obtain the things needed to summon a Shrouded Ghost Megalodon. Unfortunately, fighting the adventure's final boss will not contribute to your Commendations advancement.
