Elden Ring: How to Get to the Snowy Area
All you have to do to get to the snowy area in Elden Ring is obtain the Rold Medallion and head to the Great Lift of Rold. You must first battle Morgott, The Omen King, a demi-god boss situated in Leyndell, Royal Capital, in order to obtain the Rold Medallion. That is the primary route to the snowy area, which you can access by simply following the game's instructions. There is, however, another route to the icy area that leads to a secret place where you can face Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
The Haligtree Secret Medallion is required to access this hidden region. There are two halves to this medallion, and both must be collected. Return to the Lift of Rold with the medallion and the secret section will be unlocked. The medallion's first half can be discovered in the Albinaurics' Village. When you arrive at the Village of the Albinaurics Site of Grace, go straight up the hill on the right side from the site of the grace area. Continue uphill until you reach the top, where you'll find a very large container on the right side.
When you attach the pot twice, an NPC will emerge from the container. You have the option of listening to him recount his narrative or simply killing him to get the first half of the medallion. You must travel to Castle Sol for the second half of the Medallion. Stargazer's Ruins is a section straight ahead of Castle Sol. Use the northern bridge to reach the Castle Sol Main Gate Site of Lost Grace, but be prepared to battle several opponents along the way.
Activate the Site of Lost Grace beside the phantom-spawning knight, and then continue straight. In the back, look for a doorway. It will lead you to a set of steps, and then to a building on the right. Enter the building and take the lift. Get out of the building as soon as you reach the top, climb the outside steps, and look for the purple-colored item. The second half of the Medallion is now in your possession.
