How to play Minecraft on Oculus Quest 2

Minecraft is one of the most enjoyable games in which to simply exist. There's something about the peaceful ambiance of the randomly generated game world combined with the soothing piano song that may make the player forget about time and become completely immersed in the world of Minecraft. Now, how would you improve the immersion of that experience? Of course, you'll need to start the game on your Oculus Quest 2.

If you want to leap into Minecraft on the Oculus Quest 2, you have two alternatives. Minecraft Bedrock Edition and Minecraft Java Edition are two different versions of the game. On the Oculus Quest 2, both versions of the game are fully playable. However, before launching into the game on your headset, there will be certain initial setup parameters that must be followed.

If you want to make the least amount of preparations, the Minecraft Bedrock edition is the best alternative. The Oculus Link app is the only additional piece of software you'll need. Once you've installed the software, make sure your headset is connected and ready to play the game from your PC. Open the Oculus Link application and launch the game once those parameters have been met.

Minecraft Java Edition will necessitate some additional setup procedures. However, because mods are included, they may prove to be more useful in the long term. You may now play your favorite Thomas the Tank Engine Minecraft mod in virtual reality!

You'll need the Oculus Link app, a copy of Minecraft Java Edition, the Java client to program and execute the application, Vivecraft (a plugin that lets you run Minecraft Java on your headset), and finally, SteamVR to get the Java edition of Minecraft working on your Oculus Quest 2.

After you've installed all of those apps, go ahead and launch Oculus Link and SteamVR. On your Oculus Quest 2 headset, select the Airline Interface. To open the virtual desktop, press and hold the Oculus button on your controller, then select the monitor icon. After that, look under the Vivecraft version for the Minecraft Java Edition. Select play once you've found it, and you're ready to go.
