3.2 magnitude earthquake hit south Monterey County Friday

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a magnitude 3.2 earthquake struck south Monterey County at 5:44 p.m. on Friday. It is believed that the epicenter is located somewhere east of San Lucas and to the east of Peachtree Valley. 

According to the USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 6.7 kilometers below the surface.
