Christina Chang is reportedly leaving The Good Doctor and Is Dr. Audrey Lim dead?
Is Christina Chang departing The Good Doctor, and should we be concerned about Dr. Audrey Lim after Season 5? If the writers wanted us to be concerned about this character, they accomplished their goal. This conclusion leaves us wondering what will happen next, which is exactly the idea. We know that The Good Doctor has had some dramatic finale exits in the past; we've seen it with Dr. Melendez's death, as well as with Claire's departure from the program.
Anything could happen, yet these exits nearly give us the impression that the character will be well. Another cast departure so soon would almost be too much. Now, the Lim cliffhanger was unexpected, as she was attacked in the final seconds after discovering Villanueva on the ground.
She was only planning on getting glasses! She'd been stabbed, and now the question is whether or not she'll be found in time. We believe that because it is a wedding and she is such an important member of the hospital family, someone will notice her absence. Then it's a matter of finding her and having her treated as soon as possible. The fact that there are so many doctors at the front desk gives us a ray of optimism.
We'll have to wait until season 6 to find out what's in store for Lim; the first two episodes have already been shot, and the remainder will begin filming later this summer. For the time being, know that Chang's departure from the show has not been announced publicly. There's still a chance that Lim is alive.
