Eiyuden Chronicle Rising: How to fish
There are various different ways to obtain specific materials in Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, including fishing, mining, and lumber collection. Fishing is its own mini-game while mining and chopping down trees for supplies happens automatically.
All fishing locations
In Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, there are three fishing places, each of which is located within one of the game's five dungeons. The Great Forest, The Quarry, and The Runebarrows all have one. As you go through the story, you will acquire access to each one. The only time fish are needed is for special side missions later in the game, so don't worry if you haven't found a fishing site yet.
Where and how to find the fishing rod
It's also worth mentioning that, unlike the axe and pickaxe, the fishing rod does not come standard. You can get one by heading to the tool shop on Second Street. After that, you'll be allowed to go to any fishing spot and catch whatever you want. The fishing mini-game is simple to play. A row of face buttons will appear, with an empty bar beneath them. The goal is to push the buttons in the correct order before the bar below fills up. Unless you're on a quest, the speed at which you do this has no bearing on the fish you capture.
You will notice a fishing spot that is connected to a mission you are currently working on. By the fishing spot, a green or blue quest sign will appear. In that case, if you succeed at fishing, you will immediately catch the fish you seek. If you want to catch rarer fish, you'll need to update your rod at the tool shop. This will increase your chances of catching a rare fish.
