How to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Go to Pokémon Home

The Pokémon you catch in Pokémon Go will follow you around wherever you go in real life. Many of these can be found when exploring your area or traveling to different regions of the world. You can use Pokémon Home to bring them along on your Pokémon journeys. Almost every Pokémon you catch online can be transferred to your favorite Pokémon games. How to transfer Pokémon from Go to Home

You should utilize the same Nintendo Account across both platforms. You won't be able to send Pokémon between the two if you don't. You can, however, use Pokémon Home to transfer Pokémon to others. Open the main menu, navigate to Settings, and then scroll down to the Nintendo page to link your Nintendo Account to your Pokémon Go device. You can also accomplish this with your Pokémon Home account, which must be connected to the same Nintendo Account.

After connecting the two accounts, you'll be ready to go. If you want to send any of your Pokémon to Pokémon Home, go to this section and select any available Pokémon from your Pokémon Go inventory from the "Send Pokémon" menu. Go Transporter Energy is required for each Pokémon you transmit over. You can't send them across if you don't have any Go Transporter Energy. However, the energy regenerates over time, with Mythical and Legendary Pokémon requiring the most. Every trainer starts with 10,000 Transporter Energy and gains 60 every hour.

Why can’t I transfer my Pokémon from Go to Home?

There are a few issues that are preventing you from sending some of your Pokémon from Go to Home. If it's a Mythical or Legendary Pokémon, you'll need to make sure you've reached a specified setting first. This option can be found by scrolling halfway down to the Pokémon Tab in your Settings Tab. You can now send your Mythical and Legendary Pokémon to your Home account by selecting the Expanded Ground Transfer option.

Neither all Pokémon can go to Home if they are not Mythical or Legendary. Favorited Pokémon, Buddy Pokémon, Pokémon defending Gyms, costumed Pokémon, Shadow Pokémon, Mega-Evolved Pokémon, and Spinda are among the Pokémon you can't send across. If a Pokémon fits any of these requirements, it cannot be transferred to Pokémon Home. Any Pokémon you send from Pokémon Go to Home will be unable to return to the game. They'll stay at Pokémon Home.
