During the Water Festival 2022 event, Lapras will wear a scarf. Lapras donning a scarf will arrive in special spawns for the event. It can be found in three-star raids and caught by performing particular Field Research missions. Because it will be hovering above the Gym, three-star raids will be the most viable method of encountering Lapras wearing a scarf.

If you don't want to use a Raid Pass or a Remote Raid Pass, Lapras will appear in the Field Research task, which requires you to catch 25 Pokémon. These can be found at PokéStops and Gyms all over your neighborhood. These will be available at the Water Festival 2022, which will take place from May 12 to 20. Lapras wearing a scarf will no longer spawn after the event, and those Field Research jobs will be removed from the rotation.
