V Rising: How to build V Rising castle heart and stop decay

One of the most significant components of this vampiric survival game is constructing a V Rising stronghold. After you've selected your V Rising server and begun your journey from frail undead to vampire lord, you'll find yourself in the beautiful Farbane Woods, with a mission to start building your first home. While it's self-evident that you'll need to fell trees and mine stone, you'll also need to collect V Rising blood essence to get your bloodsucker's dwelling up and running.

However, constructing a V Rising fortress is only the first step. To keep your castle walls and boundaries from deteriorating, you must keep your castle heart alive at all times. Although a small amount of the crimson substance goes a long way, if you don't look after your castle heart, your house — and all your hard-earned loot – will become exposed to intruders. We'll go through the basics of what resources you'll need to build your vampiric pad and how to keep your castle heart from rotting so that your V Rising castle doesn't fall into disrepair.

HOW TO BUILD A V RISING CASTLE

At around level 10, you'll come across the Lord of Shadows task for building a castle. You'll need to build a castle heart, some base borders, and some walls to provide you some much-needed solitude to build a V Rising castle.

• To enter construction mode, press the B key.
• Select castle heart from the 'fundamentals' tab at the bottom.
• Build the castle heart for 30 blood essence and 240 stone, then put it somewhere with a lot of buildable space.
• At a cost of two blood essences and 20 stones apiece, lay foundations around the castle's heart.
• To keep enemies out, build palisades and walls around your castle. Each wooden wall costs 80 dollars in lumber and 30 dollars in plant fiber. The cost of resources varies based on whether you're making a gate or a pillar, but you'll always need lumber to make one.

Make sure you create a coffin to rest in while you're away from the game, as quitting leaves your vampire fixed in place, exposed to attacks and daylight. Coffins are available in the 'fundamentals' tab of the building screen and cost 180 lumber to construct. Make two small stashes for 150 lumber each to keep resources and loot in.

Finally, if the notion of being burned to ashes in broad daylight terrifies you, creating a mist brazier for 120 stones will shield you from the sun. Each brazier will cover a huge area in fog, but you must feed it bones to keep it going. While the castle heart consumes blood essence slowly, the mist braziers consume a bone per minute, so don't leave them running needlessly. HOW TO BUILD A V RISING CASTLE

To keep your castle's amenities operating, you must constantly be feeding its heart blood essence. To do so, hit the F key while facing the castle heart menu to bring it up. This menu has a section labeled 'castle power' with two spots next to it. Fill these slots with blood essence to strengthen and energize your stronghold. The more blood essence you put into your castle heart, the longer it will guard your house.

That should be the start of your new V Rising castle's foundations. Later on, you'll need more advanced facilities and gear, such as V Rising leather and V Rising whetstone, to help you defeat all of the bosses.
