Viral Video of Woman Being Beaten, Speculation It Might Be possibly Zendaya

The internet has been lead to believe that a young woman being beaten up in a video that has gone viral could possibly be Zendaya. However, based on the visual evidence that we've seen, it's likely that this is just BS. This video has been making the rounds over the past several days... It lasts for seven seconds and depicts a person beating up on a young woman who appears to be at some kind of retail establishment. After they have finished striking each other, they then resort to kicking, which causes the woman to be thrown backward and strike her head against the wall.

In point of fact, it is particularly heinous conduct, and as far as we can tell, there is no background information whatsoever that can shed any light on when or where this took place, who exactly was involved, or the reason for it. What some do believe they see, though, is someone who appears to resemble Zendaya. At least, that's what they believe they see based on the little glimpses of this girl's face that can be seen in the video. Yes, we'll admit it... it does look a little bit like the actress, particularly in her parts from the movie "Euphoria."

Again, there's no telling when this might've been from — or if it's even Zendaya at all, to be honest — but just so you know, Z isn't sporting hair that's this long right now... Recent paparazzi photos taken of her in Massachusetts reveal that she has recently gone for a cut that has resulted in her hair being significantly shorter.

Crocs in a variety of colors, rather than the shoes that are shown in the film, are what she wears on her feet. Zendaya's got sneakers on here … and has stated in the public sphere that she will either wear tennis shoes or heels, with very nothing in between. As far as we were able to tell, Zendaya has never been photographed wearing Crocs.

The bottom line is that there is no definitive evidence that this depiction is in fact Zendaya; despite this, Twitter users are currently trending on the topic of Zendaya because they believe it may be her. Zendaya or not, other people have pointed out that those who are making fun of this are sending the incorrect message to others who are listening to them. Even if it's only a lookalike, the filming and recirculating of an assault on a woman of color is something that many people perceive as a worrying trend, and this is just the latest example of it. Even if it's just a doppelganger, many people find it disturbing that this trend is occurring.

Update - Zendaya's rep confirms to TMZ ... this woman in this video is NOT Zendaya whatsoever, despite all the speculation.
