V Rising: How does Gear Score work

Strength would seem to be a more inherent attribute in the world of vampires, as seen in V Rising. Benching for eons would, after all, give every character geriatric strength. This is not the case in V Rising. Instead, depending on the equipment currently in use, levels change substantially. This is the character's Gear Score, which defines how the character will interact with the world.

The most reliable approach to raising a character's item level is to equip newly made arms and armors obtained by simply increasing your stronghold level and constructing new production and crafting structures. Many recipes can only be discovered by chasing and eliminating targets set by the Blood Altar, which unlocks even more powerful bonuses as item levels rise.

Raising the item level is the most crucial component of play for our undead monarchy. Outside of roleplay or a short gear trade while dungeon diving with the clan, players seldom, if ever, switch from a higher to a lower Gear Score. Once new equipment has been acquired, dismantling the old equipment is a good way to keep inventory space, both on-person and in-house, while also generating fresh resources.

Later levels may require switching to lower-quality gear if preferred gear requires repairs, however, this can be avoided by thoroughly inspecting all equipped gear before leaving on a journey. Players will notice that the game clearly outlines the statistics supplied by each piece of equipment. It does not show a positive or negative in comparison to the currently equipped item, maybe due to a bug.

Choose the item with the highest Gear Level score when it comes to item levels in V Rising. This ensures higher total numbers, as evidenced by your vampire's present level.
