Warframe: How To Get Riven Mods
Warframe is all about increasing your power, and few mods in the game can match Riven Mods' ability to do so. Riven Mods are highly uncommon, one-of-a-kind weapon mods that can provide a variety of bonuses, such as increased fire rate, increased damage or enhanced critical chance. For your Sentinels, Riven mods are available for primary weapons, secondary weapons, melee weapons, archgun weapons, and robotic weapons.
How To Get Riven Mods
Sorties are the most common source of Riven Mods. Sorties are a set of missions with different modifications that you can run once a day. A Sortie consists of three separate missions, each with its own modifier. To access Sorties, you must have completed The War Within story missions, and only Level 30 Warframes are allowed to participate in the tasks. Palladino, in Iron Wake on Earth, will reward you with a Riven Mod if you hand in 10 Riven Slivers each week.
You may be able to participate in a special Tactical Alert operation on occasion, usually as part of a special event. These will appear in the Navigation screen's Alert bar and will always give a particular prize. Riven Mods are occasionally given as a reward, but they are extremely rare. Gift of the Lotus missions, like Tactical Alerts, will appear as special events in the game, such as the game's anniversary, and will typically reward you with a Riven Mod if you complete them. They will usually last for 24 hours, providing most individuals the opportunity to participate. These are fantastic because they are usually high-tier prizes with simple assignments.
Archgun Rivens are the only Rivens that can be obtained on a regular basis in the game, as they are part of the Arbitration Honors, which can be obtained by completing Arbitration missions. You can acquire Vitus Essence by completing Arbitration missions, which can subsequently be exchanged for rewards with the Arbiters of Hexis on any relay. For 35 Vitus Essence, you can get an Archgun Riven Mod. Riven mods will also be available as a rotating Teshin prize as part of the Steel Path rewards package. Melee and Pistol mods are not eligible for this prize pool. A companion weapon Riven can also be obtained from Cephalon Simaris as part of his reward set on any Relay.
Riven Mods are top-tier things that are supposed to be rare almost by definition. They can be traded between players, and there is a thriving Riven market where players can exchange Rivens for Platinum. I don't usually recommend buying Rivens because the top-tier ones are usually way pricey and not worth the Platinum that folks are looking for. You're better off farming the daily Sortie and taking advantage of any opportunities to obtain extra Rivens that come up in the game.
If you really want to acquire a Riven, you should buy a lousy one and then use the game's Kuva system to re-roll it into a better version.
