America's Got Talent on NBC: Meet Justin Rupple stand-up comedian, actor, and voice actor
Every entertainer's ambition is to win a million dollars and has the opportunity to perform as the headlining act in Las Vegas. However, for a struggling artist, making this ideal reality is more said than done. This outlandish desire can very much become a reality for the winner of NBC's hit talent-hunt show "America's Got Talent"! Comedian Justin Rupple is one of the entertainers seeking to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. With Terry Crews' golden buzzer going to saxophonist Avery Dixon, Howie's to vocalist Madison Baez, and Simon's to Sara James, Rupple needs to impress Heidi Klum or Sofia Vergara if he wants to win the coveted golden buzzer. While we'll have to wait and see if Rupple makes the talent show cut, you can learn more about this multi-hyphenate artist here.
Who is Justin Rupple?
Rupple is a stand-up comedian, actor, and voice actor, according to his website. His notable roles include an appearance on 'First Impressions with Dana Carvey,' playing Tuffnut in 'How to Train Your Dragon,' and starring alongside Liam Neeson in 'Operation Chromite.' This comedian from Los Angeles attended Washington State University's Edward R Murrow School of Communications. He started working at KIRO Radio in Seattle after graduating. Rupple, a natural performer, began dabbling in stand-up comedy in early 2006 to satisfy his need to perform in front of an audience. Rupple received his first major break when he was found by The Parlor Live Comedy Club in late 2008, after playing at the now-defunct Giggles Comedy Club in Seattle. He was hired as the club's first and sole house host, and for the next two years, he performed six concerts a week!
Rupple relocated to Los Angeles in 2010 with the aim of making it big. Rupple's career began to take off after a series of rejections and failures when he earned a role in Liam Neeson's film "Opposite Chromite." Rupple's performance on 'AGT' is something we're looking forward to seeing. Rupple's "throuple" relationship is also garnering headlines, in addition to his steadily rising showbiz career. Claire Thornhill is in a polyamorous relationship with Rupple and his wife, Katy Rupple. Rupple met Katy while performing at one of his comedy concerts in 2006. In 2013, the pair began dating and married.
Katie showed an interest in exploring her bisexual side a few years after they married. The couple sought Rupple's college classmate Claire after much deliberation. "At first, it was a surprise because I had never been approached like this before," Claire said in an interview with The Mirror. Despite this, I was relieved by the surprise because I'd always had feelings for both men and women."
Before you think Rupple's polyamorous relationship would make for a wonderful TLC show full of shouting and conflicts, consider this: the 'throuple' claims to be happy together. They credited their successful 'throuple' relationship to collaboration and communication, as well as shared goals, personality traits, and hobbies.
