Fallout 76: How to turn Corpse Highlighting on and off
With the introduction of the Test Your Metal update for Fallout 76, a slew of new features were added. Season nine began with the addition of three new events, the correction of a number of bugs, and the start of season nine. Many users requested Corpse Highlighting, which is included among the other upgrades, repairs, and features. This function was included to help you locate an enemy after you've killed them so you can get your stuff without difficulty. You won't miss out on that small bundle of ammo or the extra scraps owing to this feature. Of course, you might not want it on all of the time.
What is Corpse Highlighting?
It's exactly what it sounds like: corpse highlighting. This feature shows all foes you've recently slain, allowing you to locate them in the world if they fall off a cliff or become stuck in an unusual spot. Normal foes will be marked in white, whereas legendary enemies will be highlighted in gold, allowing you to distinguish between them. After installing the Test Your Metal update, this function is enabled by default.
How to turn Corpse Highlighting on and off
You'll need to go into your menu if you're weary of seeing corpses highlighted or if you want to switch the feature back on. Press the menu button after bringing up the map. Select the settings tab from the drop-down menu. Select the display choice from the settings menu that appears. Scroll down to where it says Corpse Highlighting after the display menu opens. You can either turn the function off completely or pick a different option for it to go away.
When you remove an item from a fallen enemy, the highlighting will disappear by default. You may even make it so that the highlighting fades away once you've examined the body.
