Overwatch 2: Who Is TS-1 and What Are Barricades?
Overwatch 2 will provide new characters, skins, maps, and game modes. Push is the name of one of the new game modes. It's essentially a hybrid of the original game's Payload and Control modes, but with a concentration on moving a certain character and structure. In Overwatch 2, here's everything you need to know about TS-1 and the Barricades.
Who Is TS-1 & What Are Barricades in Overwatch 2?
First and foremost, if it wasn't clear enough, both TS-1 and Barricades are essential components in Overwatch 2's Push mode. However, before we look at that giant-friendly robot, we must first understand what the Barricades are.
What Are Barricades in Overwatch 2?
Push mode is only half of the equation if these tall structures aren't in place. The goal of the game is to push the barricade to the opposing team's spawn location. A team is proclaimed the winner if they have made it all the way there. If neither team can get the barricade all the way to the opposing spawn, there is another method to win in Push mode. Whoever has gone the furthest and is still going after the time limit has expired. If the team in possession at the end of the time limit hasn't pushed the Barricade any further, the game will continue until the other team stops moving or the team with the shortest distance goes farther and is unopposed.
These Barricades can also provide protection for the pushing squad, but they don't appear to be the Torb turret and Bastion nest that the original game's payloads were.
Who Is TS-1 in Overwatch 2?
To move something, you must be close to it, just like Payload. TS-1, on the other hand, shakes things up a little because the Barricade doesn't move on its own in Push mode. To get TS-1 to start heading towards a barricade and pushing it, players must get near enough to him.
TS-1's movement speed is determined by whether it is pushing or walking toward a Barricade. If one side pushes a little too hard and the other team takes them out, TS-1 will rapidly turn around and move in the opposite way (assuming it has players of the corresponding team nearby). When the robot reaches the opposite Barricade, it will begin pushing against the wall and moving slowly once more.
