Rapper Lil Tjay is undergoing emergency surgery after being shot

According to reports, Lil Tjay was shot overnight in Edgewater, New Jersey. Tjay, 21, was scheduled to have emergency surgery as a result of the alleged shooting, according to TMZ, which claimed "law enforcement sources." According to the report, the incident involved two shootings—one at a nearby Chipotle and the other at a petrol station. Although a second victim is mentioned in the report as well, there was no additional information available at the time this article was written.

Although no names were mentioned, the Edgewater Police Department and the Major Crimes Unit of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office both released brief statements on Wednesday morning that appeared to be in connection to the same occurrence. Prosecutor Mark Musella stated that officers responded to a 911 call just after midnight at the Promenade where they discovered a person with several gunshot wounds. This information was later released here in a slightly more thorough release. At an Exxon station, there found another victim with a single gunshot wound. Potential suspects, according to TMZ, are still at large as of Wednesday morning.
