Sonic Origins: How to find Hidden Palace Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Hidden Palace Zone is one of Sonic the Hedgehog's most well-known cut content sections. There were screenshots of this region that were not in the game when Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was marketed. We didn't get to play through this zone until decades later, with the Christian Whitehead mobile port of the game, and it's been brought back in Sonic Origins. Here's where you may look for it.
Where is Hidden Palace Zone in Sonic Origins?
Unlike every other zone in the game, the Hidden Palace Zone will not surface unless you fall into it by accident. Literally. You must be in Mystic Cave Zone 2 and reach this point in the level to find this new level. Falling down this hole in the original version of the game would imprison you in a spiked deathtrap. There was no way to get out of this. For going too fast in this location, you would simply lose a life and be penalized. If you jump down here, you'll be brought to the Hidden Palace Zone. You will be blocked off from accessing the secret level if you grip the handlebar and unlock the bridge.
Because it is simply a zone with one level, Hidden Palace Zone differs from the other levels in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. There are some gems you can break to locate bounce springs, and there are some water elements, but it's actually thrilling to play a level that was never supposed to exist. When you reach the finish, you'll face Dr. Eggman in a boss battle, where he'll throw spike balls into the ocean below you.
