The Cycle Frontier: How to add friends and play with them

The Cycle: Frontier can be played entirely alone, but this is unusual. If you're not actively teaming up with someone, you'll find that others are actively teaming up against you. Friends list bug

The friends list function in The Cycle: Frontier has a glitch at the time of writing. As a result, the game may occasionally crash, making multiplayer play impossible. The cause for this, though, appears to be very consistent. You must be friends on Steam and have your Steam friends list set to public in order to play with your pals. If you don't, the game will keep crashing and you won't be able to play with your friends. Because The Cycle: Frontier isn't available on any other platform, this is only feasible on PC.

How to add friends

You'll need to know a friend's Steam username before you can add them. Press the "I" key and click on the small icon of a person in the bottom left-hand corner to open the inventory. The social overlay is now visible. In one tab, you may see any invites you've received or sent, and in the other, you can add pals. To add a friend, go to the Add Friends tab and type in their username. They should appear, and you may add them to your friend list from there.

How to play with friends

To play with friends, one of you must issue an invitation to the other. To begin, open your inventory and click the person icon in the lower left-hand corner to activate the social overlay. Then send an invitation to the people you'd want to play with. You may also use this overlay to respond to any invitations to play that you've received. If you don't receive an invitation, you might need to add someone as a friend or make your Steam friends list public.
