The Quarry: How to Remove or Bypass 2K Launcher

If you've been playing The Quarry on PC, you've probably noticed that the 2K Launcher appears when you boot up the game. While it isn't the worst thing in the world, there are reports that it will negatively affect the game's performance. We'll show you how to uninstall or skip the 2K Launcher when playing The Quarry on PC in this article.

How to Bypass 2K Launcher in The Quarry

To begin, locate the 'TheQuarry.exe' program on your PC. This will be in the installation folder you choose for the game. By right-clicking The Quarry in your 'Library,' selecting 'Properties,' and then 'Local Files,' you may instantly access the folder. Next to the size of the game's local files, you'll see the 'Browse...' option. When you click this, it will open the Quarry folder on your computer.

For instance, ours was:

The Quarry

Copy the file path by right-clicking on the.exe file and going to Properties. This is crucial because we'll need it in the next stage.

Then, in your Steam library, right-click on The Quarry and select 'Properties...' Enter the file path of the.exe file with quotation marks around it on the 'General' page, where it says 'Launch Options,' and then add %command% at the end.

If we use the example above, it should look like this:

• “S:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Quarry” %command%

Now dismiss the Properties window and launch The Quarry properly from Steam. The 2K Launcher will now not open at all, allowing you to enjoy The Quarry with a minor performance boost.
