The Quarry: Should You Break in or Leave the Bags?

In Chapter 1 of The Quarry, Emma and Abigail must decide whether to break into a cabin or leave their belongings behind while the rest of the group waits to return home. Although it may appear to be a little choice, it has the potential to have a long-term impact on The Quarry's plot. It won't have a significant impact or kill any characters, but it does open up some possibilities in the future. Should You Break in or Leave the Bags in The Quarry?

It's completely acceptable to break in and gather everyone's baggage in order to avoid spoilers. If you choose to a break in, the cabin door will remain unlocked for the duration of the story, and you will be able to find certain items inside, including a plush toy that will come in handy later. What Happens if You Break Into the Cabin?

The door to the cabin will be unlocked later in the game if you are break-in. This will come in handy in later scenarios if any of the counselors need to go to the cabin fast to hide or hunt for resources, which could happen in some scenes depending on how things play out. Some of the items inside the cabin, such as the plush toy, can come in handy later. For example, the soft toy can be utilized as a distraction to get a counselor out of a tight spot later in the game. Overall, this is the greatest option because leaving the baggage behind would not help you.

What Happens if You Leave the Bags?

You won't get anything out of this situation if you leave the bags behind. You won't be able to access anything inside the cabin because it will remain locked. There's no incentive to pick this option because there are no consequences for breaking in. Going this way only adds to future issues, such as the cabin door remaining locked.
