THQ Nordic's most recent foray into the worlds of ATV and motocross racing is MX vs. ATV Legends. A Holeshot is one of the many racing concepts and structures that may be found in this game. In racing, riders who are able to get off to the best start and who can reach top speeds quickest are known as "holeshots." But in MX vs. MTV Legends, how exactly do you get a Holeshot? Let's look at it.

Tips to win a Holeshot in MX vs. ATV Legends

You'll need to start strong and be aware of where the Holeshot gate is on the race path if you want to win a Holeshot in MX vs. ATV Legends. We'll discuss the latter in a moment, but for now, let's focus on the gate.

Holeshot gate location

Usually, the Holeshot gate is situated after the first lap-long bend. The Holeshot appears as follows for comparison:

A rider must be in the first place and cross the gate ahead of everyone else in order to win a Holeshot. It should be noted that this can only be attained on the first lap of the race, so be sure to perform at your peak early on in the competition in terms of vehicle stability, turning, and of course, acceleration. Winning a Holeshot is a little different for competitions like Supercross. 

It's much the same idea: to take it, you must be in first place after the first turn. However, take in mind that the Holeshot gate is not available in certain races. Let's go back to the beginning now. Realistically, starting strong is the only way to ensure that you enter this gate first. Making sure you get off to a solid start will ensure the best route to taking the Holeshot gate, which is passed during the early part of the race.
