Digimon Survive: How do equipment crystals work

It's easy to overlook certain minor nuances when playing Digimon Survive because of all the bizarre happenings and enigmatic forces at play (not to mention the sheer number of Digimon to acquire and evolve). One such element is the extensive list of enhancement crystals that can be attached to your Digimon. This shouldn't be an issue at first, but as the game progresses and the complexity increases, you might discover that you need any advantage you can get, no matter how slight. If so, you might want to try out different ways to set up your crystals to see which ones work best for you.

What crystals do, and how to use them

Your Digimon receives benefits from crystals in Digimon Survive, which you can discover in the Enhancements tab of your Item menu. They come with a wide range of variations, including speed boosts, resistance gains, and offensive enhancements. You must first attach a crystal to one of your monsters in order to benefit from it. The crystals aren't depleted during this buff's duration. Each of your Digimon can only hold two pieces of equipment, so make good use of them.

The best use of crystals is to enhance the strengths that each of your Digimon already possesses, such as by providing Potency Crystals to monsters that have powerful attacks that frequently connect. They can also be used to counteract some of your more specialized Digimon's damaging weaknesses. Keep in mind that you can also employ skill equipment, which occupies the same slots as crystals. These powerful items give your monsters unique skills that sometimes work better with your team than the permanent bonuses you get from wearing crystals.
