Forza Horizon 5: How to find the New Heights Treasure Hunt
In Series 1 of Forza Horizon 5, finish the New Heights Treasure Hunt to earn a ton of goodies and move closer to some free cars. You will receive 50,000 credits, XP, and wheelspin when you open (smash) the locked chest. You'll need to complete a specific challenge during a treasure hunt anywhere in Mexico in order to learn the general location of the hidden treasure chest. Search the region until you find the chest, then drive into it to break it apart and grab your rewards. The New Heights Series 1 Summer Challenge requires you to finish the Forza Horizon 5 Treasure Hunt in Mulege.
How to start Forza Horizon 5 Treasure Hunts and find the Treasure Chest
Weekly challenges for Forza Horizon 5 are located under the Festival Playlist page when you pause the game. You won't always have a treasure hunt to complete because not every season of a series has one. On the tab that corresponds to the current season, you can find all the information regarding the current Treasure Hunt. You'll locate a treasure chest and receive a generous reward for your efforts in the form of XP, credits, and wheelspin at the conclusion of the hunt.
Although there are some significant distinctions, these treasure hunts and barn finds are pretty similar. These treasure hunts will tell you a general region to look for the chest, just like barn finds do. But instead of waiting for a rumor like you would with a Barn Find, you'll have to fulfill a task to find this region. When you finish this task, a sizable red circle marking the Treasure Hunt location will be drawn on your map. Look around this area for the Treasure Chest, which is a sizable wooden chest that has been painted in a variety of hues and has the word "Horizon" stenciled on both sides. When you smash the chest with your car, you'll receive all your gifts. You can now wait until the beginning of the following season before another Forza Horizon 5 Treasure Hunt begins.
Here are a few pointers to make this treasure hunts a little bit simpler for you. First, utilize the map filters to simplify the map and display only the most important icons. Seasonal Collectibles, Landmarks, and the activity you must do for the Treasure Hunt challenge should be the only icons shown. Second, you should use Drone Mode in the pause menu's "Creative Hub" tab to fly a drone over the red Treasure Hunt area in search of the Treasure Chest.
Forza Horizon 5 New Heights Treasure Hunt location in Mulege
Before you can find the New Heights Treasure Hunt Treasure Chest in Forza Horizon 5, you must drive the 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray and earn at least two stars on the Heights of Mulege Danger Sign stunt activity. This Danger Sign and its ramp can be found on a hill to the north of Mulege. Below the main Horizon Festival Mexico site in Baja, California, toward the south of the map is Mulege.
Before you can earn two stars on the Heights of Mulege Danger Sign, you must fly off the ramp and travel at least 400 feet (121.9 meters) in the air. You don't need a long runup to the ramp in the 2020 Corvette Stingray in order to fly far enough. At about 70 mph in the Stingray, we just about managed to get two stars on this danger sign. You'll have the Treasure Chest area, which is just west of Mulege, circled on your map once you've finished this portion of the Treasure Hunt. West of Mulege, on the north side of the white crop shelters, is where you'll find the Treasure Chest. To open the chest and receive your rewards, drive into it.
