After a very positive sixth episode, Grantchester is making a highly anticipated Season 7 return to television. The Grantchester village people, particularly Inspector Geordie Keating and the nearby vicar, who team up to look into and solve crimes in the neighborhood, are the subject of the British drama series on PBS called Masterpiece. Since Season 4, viewers have seen Inspector Keating pair up with Reverend Will Davenport, played by Tom Brittney, as opposed to the previous cast's Robson Green as Inspector Keating and James Norton as Reverend Sidney Chambers.

Grantchester Season 7: Release Date

The first of six Grantchester Season 7 episodes will air on PBS Masterpiece on Sunday, July 10 at 9 p.m. ET. The following week, brand-new episodes will air. If you're a fan of Grantchester in the UK, you can now watch every episode of the current season on the ITV Hub.

Grantchester Season 7: Cast

Green is back in Grantchester Season 7 as DI George "Geordie" Keating, while Brittney is returning to his role as Reverend Will Davenport, Keating's sidekick. Al Weaver as Leonard Finch, Tessa Peake-Jones as Mrs. Chapman, Oliver Dimsdale as Daniel Marlowe, Nick Brimble as Jack Chapman, Melissa Johns as Miss Scott, and Bradley Hall as Larry Peters are more regulars that viewers will be happy to see back. Previously seen in Call the Midwife and Fresh Meat, Charlotte Ritchie now joins the cast as Bonnie Evans, a young widow with a son who seems destined to draw Will's attention.

Grantchester Season 7: Plot

Fans of Grantchester will be happy to know that the program is continuing with its formula of giving Geordie and Will issues to solve in the town while also attempting to manage some significant changes in their personal life. Brittney, who plays Reverend Will in this season, will also direct Episode 3 of Grantchester.
