How to fix Discord being stuck on the Checking for Updates screen

We initially advise you to check your internet connection if Discord won't start or is stuck on the "Checking for Updates" page. Make that everything is functioning properly and that you are connected. If necessary, run a speed test, restart your router, or connect your PC to it with an Ethernet cable. If the internet appears to be working well elsewhere, try rebooting your computer.

Check the server status on Discord if it didn't work. You might have to wait for Discord to fix the issue if it is a Discord-side issue.
