There were sure to be some glitches as the Warner Bros. fighting game MultiVersus had only recently launched its Open Beta. The game offers a rather comprehensive tutorial with an advanced section that includes the KBI, or KnockBack Influence. However, there is a known problem with this tutorial section that affects all players, especially PC users. Check out our guide to learn more about it.
What is Knockback Influence in MultiVersus
When a player is about to be removed from the screen, they can use this technique, known as KBI for short, to exercise some control and protection. Simply said, the players can employ force in the direction opposite to the one they were thrown in to lessen some of the impact's momentum. This motion is primarily demonstrated in two separate settings in the KBI course.
How to complete the KBI Tutorial
The tutorial's first section is rather simple. The objective is to utilize KBI to aim yourself at a little wall block to rescue yourself from getting rung out, as the AI Reindog will keep knocking you out at various heights. This phase should be easy for you to do once you have mastered the motion. The challenging section comes next. Wonder Woman will use her Shield Bash maneuver to launch you into the air during this session. However, this technique will always knock you out since, for the purposes of the tutorial, your character starts at 100 damage due to some balance adjustments that took place between the alpha and beta versions of the game.
Generally, no matter how hard you press the required directions (down + left by default), there isn't much you can do about it. On Xbox or PlayStation, you can cheat this phase if you're a completionist by holding the directions and moving to the dashboard right as you're hit. For whatever reason, this will change your trajectory such that you can stay safe. However, until a remedy is available, there is no way to get around this for PC users. However, aside from removing the indication that you have finished this complex lesson, there is no additional advantage to doing it other than mastering the move itself, so you are free to leave the game and resume regular gameplay.
