OnePlus 10T: Release Dates, Design, Price, Specs, and More Details
OnePlus is developing a OnePlus 10T phone as a follow-up to the OnePlus 10 Pro. It would be the company's first flagship "T" device following the OnePlus 8T and is anticipated to be cheaper than the OnePlus 10 Pro. With the OnePlus 10T already scheduled to debut on August 3 alongside OxygenOS 13, rumors about the device continue to spread. Here is what we currently know.
OnePlus 10T: Design
With the OnePlus 10-series, OnePlus has chosen a highly distinctive style, and the 10T appears to be a descendant of that. OnLeaks, a leaker, provided images of the phone that resemble the 10 Pro with a few minor modifications. The OnePlus 10T is your usual big-slab smartphone with a full-screen display that is only broken up by a hole punch, as you can see in the image above. Significant photography credentials are promised by a noticeable camera hump at the back. The lack of an alert slider only serves to emphasize how much more like an Oppo phone it resembles than earlier OnePlus models. It is rumored to be available in black, white, and green, with the black color perhaps going by the name Moonstone Black. Just a few weeks before the device's release, a render of the Moonstone Black version was released, including a device that reminded several people of the OnePlus One.
OnePlus 10T: Cameras
The OnePlus 10T might include a 50-megapixel primary camera with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. Although OnePlus occasionally has camera issues, the OnePlus 10 Pro represents a significant increase in the company's photography goals. We thought the 10 Pro's camera system was generally competent, in part because of Hasselblad's fine-tuning. The issue here is that it's not quite clear if the OnePlus 10T will include a camera that has been calibrated for Hasselblad. The camera is one area where costs are kept low on T-branded phones, which are occasionally inferior to their non-T competitors. For examples of what OnePlus is capable of on its own, we can look at the Nord 2 or 8T. They are competent camera phones, but they don't have the sophistication that OnePlus devices with the Hasselblad logo give.
OnePlus 10T: Specs
The OnePlus 10T specifications were released along with the renders of the new device. It is anticipated that the OnePlus 10T will have a 6.7-inch Full HD screen. It will have a 120Hz refresh rate, which is expected to be dynamic such that it changes from 1Hz to 120Hz depending on the condition of the screen, according to a later removed Amazon U.K. listing. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC from Qualcomm will power the OnePlus 10T, together with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A short-lived Amazon U.K. website listing the phone contained RAM and storage information in addition to the Snapdragon chip, which was confirmed by OnePlus. It should keep going thanks to a 4,800mAh battery and the company's 150W super-fast charging, which is quicker than the 65W charging provided by the OnePlus 10 Pro in the United States. The OnePlus 10T is believed to ship with a charger, unlike recent flagship smartphones.
OnePlus 10T: Prices and Release Date
According to a listing on Amazon's U.K. site that was quickly removed, OnePlus is anticipated to debut the 10T with a price of 799 British pounds in the U.K., which equals $915. This is more expensive than a prior leak, which stated a price of 3,000 to 4,000 Chinese yuan, or roughly $450 to $600. When the OnePlus 10T is introduced, the location of the launch is unknown. Although OnePlus sells phones all throughout the world, it does create models specifically for the US and India. Regarding the release date, OnePlus has declared an event on August 3 at 10 a.m. ET. This event will take place in New York City, but a webcast will also be made available on the business's website.
There have been no indications of a normal OnePlus 10 launch in the near future, despite leaks suggesting one was at least scheduled at some point. Some speculate that OnePlus may instead release the OnePlus 10T instead, despite the rumored specifications for the 10 having a different camera. The OnePlus 10T reportedly has an 8MP ultrawide camera with no partnerships, whereas the OnePlus 10 has a 16MP ultrawide camera with Hasselblad tuning. The majority of the other specifications, as well as the ordinary and macro cameras, would be the same. Despite the similarities, OnePlus does not have any plans to discontinue the 10 or combine them into one. The firm frequently introduces phones that are strikingly identical. There is still room for both the OnePlus 8T and 9R to launch, even if they are aimed at different markets, as they are essentially the same phone with a few minor changes.
